John Marin is a 16 year old sophomore at SBHS. This year with all the problems that have come forth, he does struggle like the rest of us but has been getting along okay. Some mentioned problems are his internet isn’t good and the daily confusion that comes out of virtual classes. One time he struggled to hear how a question was asked and answered when it wasn't his turn. Luckily he is used to change and so this type of issue isn’t new to him. The reason is that previously he moved around a lot. He has lived in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and also New York not to mention he is still back and forth traveling from Colombia and Panama. He now lives in sunny South Florida where he and his family are riding out this pandemic. All this moving around makes him “crave change more than others”.
John spends his free time either skateboarding or reading. His favorite book is based on the play Equus which was written by Peter Shaffer's. His favorite spot to skateboard basically anywhere he can find whether it's a skate park or sidewalk, but his favorite spot is on top of his roof.
He and his girlfriend Emma get along well, his nickname that he got from her is noodle boy. While you might think off of a first glance that he is really old and mean he really is just a nice person. “In the end it all gets better, and if it’s not better, then it’s not the end".
