Kelly Surniak is a student at SBHS. She is a senior and she became part of the journalism staff by chance, her counselor placed her in the class.
“To be honest they placed me in photojournalism,” said Surniak.
She grew up in Hollywood, Fl, but she has moved around a lot and it affected her social life exponentially.
“It affected me because whenever I went to a new school. It would be hard to make new friends and meet new teachers,” said Surniak.
Among friends and family she is known as "Jelly", a nickname given to her by her peers.
Her favorite books are The Twilight Saga, and her favorite movie is the missing link. She absolutely loves Empanadas and they are her favorite food.
Surniak's taste in music is very broad. She listens to all types of music, from hip hop to EDM. Her favorite artist is Harry Styles.
Sunriak is very creative and artistic, in her free time she enjoys drawing and making bracelets.
Like the rest of us Sunriak also has complications with her online classes. The biggest issue she has is sometimes not being able to join whatsoever.
Kelly looks up to her mom because she went through a lot in her life and still holds her head up
strong.
Advice that she offers others would be “Always remember to help others in need”.
