Laurissa Longin is 14 years old freshman at South Broward High School.
She grew up in North Miami, Florida but she moved a lot. Moving from houses to houses didn’t really affect her but it made her acknowledge to not be so attached to her house.
Longin joined journalism because she believes that this class can better her writing in the future.
Her nickname when she was younger was Bubble but now its Rissa.
As of right laurissa is doing online school. and she states” i don’t want to do this anymore because it feels better going to school and seeing my teachers face to face but at the same time its safer doing it online.”
Longin finds herself laughing at almost anything and everything. Someone Longin looks up to the most is her mom because her mom believes in her and always stays positive.
“Most embarrassing moment was dropping a whole row of clothes in the mall luckily their was barely people there,” said Longin.
Something that most people don’t know about Longin is that she is very sensitive.
Longin has traveled up north to Georgia, south to Miami, and north to Orlando. During the weekend you can catch Longin spending time with friends and family.
Advice Longin likes to give is “its okay to be yourself just embrace it and keep moving forward with a positive thought”.
