Paulston Stuart, 14, is a freshman at South Broward High School and was born in Florida, but moved to the Bahamas when he was a baby.
He really likes basketball and wants to be an NBA star. He’s been playing basketball since he was seven, and played on a team in Bimini Bahamas at Louise McDonald High School. His position is shooting guard, also known as the secondary ball handler. He’s passionate about practicing.
“One day I shot the ball till my arms gave out,” said Stuart. “My dream is to become the greatest to ever play the game.”
The SBHS freshman took journalism because he wanted to become a better writer. He thinks writing is a creative skill that engages the both sides of the brain.
“Writing is an essential communication skill, and it is an everyday thing that builds discipline,” said Stuart.
