Yanely Montero she is a 15 year old sophomore at South Broward high School. She was born in the Dominican Republic, but moved to Miami in 2020.

“I loved the DR, but Florida has grown on me, I love getting to know new places,” said Montero.

She wants to gain experience in different fields.

“My goal is to improve my writing skills and learn more about journalism,” said Montero.

When she’s not learning new things, she loves having chill moments with her friends and family.

“Just hanging out and being around them makes me feel better,” she said.

Montero’s favorite artist is A Boogie with the Hoodie and Future.

One word of advice Montero shares, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do”
