Jessica Sprio, is a senior at SBHS who took photojournalism because she enjoys taking photos. She grew up in Hollywood FL. Aside from living here, she has traveled to Canada, New Jersey and New York.
Sprio's nickname is Jess. Although she is Italian, her favorite food is a South American dish called Milanesa. Milanesa is a type of breaded meat often served with sides such as vegetables or mashed potatoes.
Some of Sprio's favorite things include the Victoria’s Secret fashion line and wearing comfortable clothing such as sweatpants and hoodies. She also loves to listen to Marah Carey, Ariana Grande, and R&B music.
Sprio loves music, her world revolves around it. Not many people know that Sprio wants to pursue a singing career.
‘’I love singing. This humbling talent aspired me to allow this to be a source of inspiration.’’ said Sprio.
Her favorite activities involve the outdoors and going to the beach is the most enjoyable place to go. A famous outdoor activity she has indulged in is skateboarding.
“I tried skateboarding down a really big hill," said Sprio. "Let’s just say... that it didn’t go well."
The most challenging thing Sprio is facing this year as a student in the Covid-19 crisis is being online at home instead of physically being in school. She hates looking at a screen for eight hours a day. She describes her home life as a place of stability filled with childhood memories.
“I have lived in the same house all my life." said Sprio. "It affected me positively, because I have the same friends and the area is very familiar to me."
