Demetrius Green is a 15-year-old freshman that attends South Broward High School born and raised in Miami Florida. He took part in a journalism course to get a better understanding of writing and to improve his writing skills.
As a child, Green loved playing baseball and occasionally played with friends and family throughout the neighborhood. As he started to grow up he found out that his natural talent laid in the middle of the basketball court. However, due to Covid and the closure of school activities he was unable to join the basketball team this year.
“Yeah, I used to play baseball when I was young,” said Green. “But I think I found my true talent in basketball instead.”
Green has traveled to many different places and eaten various foods. He loves eating spaghetti as for him that's his favorite dish. He says spaghetti is a one of a kind dish that he is able to enjoy without any problems.
Green has traveled to many different places with his family such as Atlanta, Orlando, Valdosta, and more. He enjoys traveling so he can relax and not worry about any problems, he also enjoys being able to visit new places and learn about different cultures. Last but not least he enjoys spending quality time with his family.
Demetrius sometimes enjoys going to school. His favorite class/subject is science. He enjoys learning about science and doing science activities in class. His biggest concern about school is not being able to contact his teachers when needed.
After all is said and done, Demetrius has now had the pleasure to meet his teachers and peers. While the meetings have been short, he has gained confidence that his teachers will be readily available when needed. He now has both the confidence and a sense of trust to last him throughout the school year.
