Hope Silverhardt, Photographer
Hope Silverhardt is a 17-year-old senior at South Broward High School. She joined photojournalism because she enjoys photography and is a good writer.
She was born in Oceanside, New York, and moved to Florida when she was 2-years-old. She has traveled to New York, Colorado, Costa Rica, and all of the East Coast.
Although she’s a picky eater, Silverhardt enjoys eating her favorite foods which include, Japanese, American, or Italian. Her favorite music genres are pop, hip-hop, and rap. Her favorite weekend activity is going to the beach with her friends.
Things that come easiest to her are anything related to athletics, so it’s no surprise she swims and plays water polo. She’s also a good student, but currently, one of her stresses is applying to college and for scholarships. Other than that school usually comes easy to her.
Misconceptions people have of her are that they think she is shy, not easy to talk to, and that she is quiet.
Silverhardt looks up to her mom.
“She is the strongest woman I know,” she said.
