Jada Strachan is a senior at South Broward High School, who’s quite nervous but excited for college. She’s spent her whole life in Florida, but has traveled out of the state to visit some family in Georgia. She likes to hang out with her nieces and nephews although she doesn’t see them much. She mostly goes about her day staying home and watching her favorite movies which usually consists of horror movies like Halloween, Jeepers Creepers, and The Conjuring.
She really likes to cook and bake, and someday hopes to have her own catering or baking business. Other than cooking and baking, she loves to listen to music. Some of her favorite artists are Willow, Snoh Aalegra, Zayn, and Doja Cat. She really finds that listening to music can bring up her mood whenever she’s feeling down or sad. Aside from these artists, she loves listening to music from all genres.
Although she enjoys school, she does find it quite stressful at times. With her being a member of the Student Government Association (SGA) club at school, she tries to make time in order to do her homework as well. Regardless of the two, she tries her best to focus on them both without failing.
“Sometimes it’s hard trying to juggle both homework and the responsibility I hold within my club,” she said.
Apart from her hobbies, she never thought she’d be taking a Journalism class. With that being said, she joined Journalism with hopes to become a better writer some day.
“I never thought I was the best writer but with college coming so soon, I have hopes to change that,” she said.
