Jaida Almonte is a 17-year old senior at South Broward High School, who was born in McAllen, Texas. She was raised between Bronx, New York and Miami, Florida. She's the oldest of four girls in her family.
Almonte has a very bubbly personality and a great sense of humor. Her favorite movie is ''Pulp Fiction'', and her favorite music genres are R&B and Hip Hop. She loves Chinese food.
She plans to one day join the Army and be a dentist. Her hobbies include skating, swimming and JROTC. She has travelled to almost all 50 states as well as Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Canada.
Not being in control or not knowing the outcome of a problem makes her anxious. She finds online school hard, and would to be in an on-campus setting to really learn.
"Sometimes I feel like I'm playing teacher, it’s like I have to teach myself," said Almonte.
One thing that many people may not know is that, although she comes off as shy or quiet, she's extremely talkative and goofy. Once she gets to know someone, she's very boisterious, and may come off as self-conceited or cocky. But she's not. She's humble and hard working.
Almonte applys the golden rule in her day to day life, by treating everyone as she'll want to be treated.
