Joey Luechauer, Contributer
Joey Luechauer is currently in his final year here at SBHS. The senior has been playing second base for the SBHS Bulldogs baseball team as well as first and second trumpet for the SBHS concert band all throughout high school. He does not just enroll in Sports and Music, however. He is also enrolled in a gym called you-fit, where he “squats” with his athletic friends after school as well.
His family tree branches out of Venezuela and Germany, but his life has taken place in Florida since birth. His ancestors took part in multiple American wars, setting the example of discipline for his family, and motivating Luechauer to be his best self.
Luechauer enjoys sharing his opinion on controversial subjects such as climate change, technology, foreign affairs, economy and business. He signed up for journalism to open his mind up to more of these global/local perspectives.
In the long run, Luechauer believes his ambition for learning will drive him to prosper greatly. His greatest academic strengths are History, Science(s), English Language, Engineering, Information Technology, Geography, and wishes to excel at Biomedical Engineering, his dream job. His greatest academic weaknesses, though, are Math and Reading. He finds them to be boring, though he knows they’re important for academic success and has vowed “to work up to, and past, these important academics” to himself since he set foot here at SBHS.
