Jorge Perez is a freshman at South Broward High School. He joined journalism because he thought it was fun.
Perez has lived in Florida his entire life, and loves it. His favorite music is rap, and he loves being with his friends and having fun.
"Being here makes me happy because I know everyone here," he said
He finds online school very annoying because he can't see his friends and teachers. His greatest stresses in life are math and public speaking because they are hard to understand.
"I prefer face to face because I don't like looking at a screen," said Perez.
One of his favorite things to do is play soccer. Soccer is something he wants to pursue in his future. Perez finds soccer really fun and enjoys playing with his friends and family.
"I look up to Lionel Messi because he plays soccer like nobody else, he cares about his family and is highly respected," he said.
Three misconceptions about him would be that he is annoying, selfish, and lazy. The best compliment he has received is that he is cute and has a big heart.
The advice he has for people is: "Focus on yourself and enjoy every little moment you have in life."
As a child his favorite game to play was Xbox 360.
"It had so many fun games on it," said Perez.
He has traveled to Peru, because that's where his family was born and raised.
