Santana Smith

This is Santana Smith, a 9th grader at South Broward High School. His passions include sports, art, and cooking. He practices football by running drills at different positions on the field whenever he gets a chance. Not only does he enjoy football, but he also practices basketball drills. His go to session is shooting around different areas on the court and different dribbling drills.

Santana is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended school at Parkway Central Middle. Santana and his mother made the decision to move to Florida after his 8th grade year. Most of his family is still in St. Louis. Smith has two older sisters, Passion and Destiny, whom he loves dearly. 

His favorite book is, “The Cartel 6: The Demise,” written by JaQuavis Coleman, Ashley Antoinette and Cary Hite. He enjoys reading all of their books .

Smith’s favorite music artists are Brent Faiyaz and G Herbo. He loves music and enjoys listening to everything from the late 80’s to all the way up now. Smith also loves television, with some of his favorite shows being “My Name is Earl,” “Power,” “Malcolm In The Middle,” and “Criminal Minds.” Some of his favorite movies are “White Men Can’t Jump,” ” Se7en,”  and ” Boyz n The Hood.” 

His favorite color is blue, because it represents serenity, wisdom and stability. His favorite food is an Ecuadorian dish called Seco De Pollo.
