Statistics On Teen Pregnancy

Teen pregnancy is a problem in many parts of the world, the United States has the highest teen birth rate among developed countries.
In the U.S the teen birth rate is higher than that of many developed countries including Canada and the United Kingdom.
The National teen pregnancy rate has constantly decreased over the last two decades. Between 1990 and 2010, the teen pregnancy rate has decreased by 51% from 116 pregnancies to 50 pregnancies per 1,000 women.
According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) “In 2014, a total of 249,078 babies were born to women aged 15-19 for a birth rate of 24.2% per 1,000 women in this age group.”
