From a word of mouth to broadcasts, news has been one of the oldest ways to pass on information. Let’s start with the meaning of news. News is information that travels throughout the world and can be the relaying of an event or occurrence such as a bombing or festival. Spreading news is a key factor to gain more knowledge and information about society.

News have been spreading with technology and journalism. Journalism is the process of gathering and presenting news and information. The printing press had been created in 1440 and has been spreading all throughout of Western Europe in the 1500’s. It was 1690 when the first colonial news sheet has appeared. It was called “Boston’s Public Occurrences Both Foreign and Domestick,” and it was published by Benjamin Harris. This had been the start of journalism.

News sheets and publications came to be more accepted by the time the Revolutionary War happened. With technology evolving during the 20th century news has been spreading immensely since the days of yellow journalism. News has been changing with the introduction of technology. Even with news being streamed on radio and television it has remained to be the most trusted source on newspaper.
