What are the thoughts of South Broward Students after the election

Lucas Pereda, a 17 year old senior at South Broward high school, shares his thoughts on the recent presidential election.

Lucas’s initial thoughts on the election was that he is excited to see what Trump will bring to our country.

“I think we made the right choice because we saw the difference in economy and war around the world between Biden’s term and Trump’s term.”

Lucas was asked of his opinions of how he thinks Trump’s policies will impact the nation.

“I believe the policies that Trump will implement will greatly impact America in a great way financially and safely as we saw in his old term that he served with an economy that was perfect and no new wars were declared in the war.”

“What do you think helped Trump pull ahead of Harris in the election.”

“Trump knew everything that he was talking about and he gave us the truth that are country was in need of a change. He knew much more about what his country needed than Harris did. The people that didn’t vote for him didn’t like that he was so blunt about his messages on the country currently, but it needed to be said by someone. He also ran this country before so he has an idea of how to run it again.”

Lane Parris, 17, is a senior at SBHS, who strives to not only be good in school, but to also work hard in sports. Lane works hard everyday to pursue his dream of playing baseball in the Major League of Baseball one day. Lane was born in Miami, Florida and specifically grew up in Aventura. He has a number of interests, one includes his interest of traveling all over the world to take breathtaking photos of nature and sports. He loves to talk and would also love to get into sports media commentating on his favorite teams and players. He grew up playing baseball from the young age of 6. He has been through many ups and downs to progress his knowledge of the game. He knows that no obstacles will affect him from getting far in the game he loves so much. He has played a ton of games and been to a ton of practices getting better each day because of his passion and the hard work he puts into the sport. He plans to go to college and make a career in the MLB.
