Aerospace club hosted a guest speaker, Rogelio Figueroa, a Air Force colonel who helps people get commissioned. He came with good advice for South Broward students with dreams of flying.

Some wisdom he would give to anyone with interest in the aviation industry is to research starting off with the air force and giving college a chance. Theres many programs in florida that would help you with the path you chose.

“Don’t get in for money or to fly cool planes, get involved because you have a desire for it,” Said the Colonel.

One of his favorite experiences flying has to be a memory from taking off in Alaska and seeing the Northern lights above him, recalling it felt like he was looking into another universe.
