Saarah Juman-Welch, Photographer
Saarah Juman-Welch is a 16 year old 10th grader with a passion for photography.
“I’ve been doing it since my 6th grade computer teacher asked me to cover for one of her photography students, I loved it,” said Juman-Welch.
Born in Indiana, Juman-Welch quickly became accustomed to living in Hollywood.
“I was 4, barely even alive, so the transition was seamless,” said Juman-Welch.
When she’s not honing her photography skills, she’s excelling in martial arts. On and off since the first grade, Juman-Welch has participated in activities such as taekwondo, wrestling, and boxing.
“I quit taekwondo because my master forced me to teach a class of younger kids before I gave up,” said Juman-Welch.
Her goals for the year are to save money to buy her own camera by the end of the school year, and for her wrestling team to make it to districts.
“I want one with a nice lens, like the ones I use in class,” said Juman-Welch.
