Anthony Schembari, aka Coach Nino, is a teacher and the head coach of the SBHS baseball team. He teaches a business and promotional design class, which teaches students everything they need to know about businesses.
Nino is also an alumn of SBHS and former player on the baseball team. He graduated in 2017 and wanted to come back and teach what he learned to the next generation of young baseball players. Coach Nino loves the athletic program at SBHS and loves being the head coach of the baseball team. Also, he has a love for business.
“I love how I can teach my understanding of business to students so they can succeed in the world,” said Nino.
He says his greatest accomplishment so far is that his first year as the head coach, his Bulldog baseball won districts.
“It gave me motivation to get better and win more district titles, coming with some regional or States wins too,” said Nino.
In the future, Nino plans to coach at higher levels of baseball, possibly coaching on a college level, or even for a professional baseball team.
“I grew up watching the pirates and would love to coach them,” said Nino.
