Last night SBHS held its annual magnet open house featuring its decades old marine magnet program and seven-year-old Cambridge program. Hundreds of perspective students and parents filled the gym and were treated to informational speeches and student performances,  including the theater program and marching band.

Principal Mrs. Brown kicked off the event by welcoming parents and highlighting programs, clubs, and sports. After SBHS theater club president Arielle Adelman sang the national anthem, the Marching Bulldogs streamed into the gym and played a series of fan favorite band songs, including “Duck Mouth” “SOS,” and “Ice Cream Man.” The festivities continued with a moving performance by the drama club of the song “Satisfied” from Broadway musical “Hamilton.”

The event ended with a stunt filled performance by The Bulldog Competitive Cheer Team. And then the students and parents were directed to the cafeteria where they could browse the booths featuring various club, sports, clubs, and academic societies, including but not limited to: Softball, Basketball, National Honors Society, PTSO, and SGA.

“I cant wait to see some of these familiar faces next year! Maybe they’ll even join my club.” Said Fiona Gleeson a junior at SBHS
