Briana Calero, a 15-year-old sophomore at South Broward High School has adored drawing and art ever since she was a preschooler. Her fascination with art is a big cause to who she is today.
“I feel like I can express my thoughts very clear,” says Calero.
Her biggest inspiration is her friends as they show such bravery and resilience and are always there for her. She strives to be as amazing as they have been to her.
Calero plans to pursue her art skill into a career and becoming a freelance artist when she is older as it was the only thing she found joy in doing during her middle school years. If not an artist, Calero hopes to become a Psychiatrist because she enjoys talking to people about their feelings.
Other than being an outstanding artist, Calero is also interested in sports as she did competitive swimming for two years straight. She has interest in a variety of sports such as track, swimming, and soccer.
One thing most people don’t know about Calero is that she collects plushies for fun. She has a collection of many famous series such as Beanie Boos and Squishmallows and is currently working on a Build-A-Bear collection. Her bedroom is a city of stuffed animals with them lining up everywhere from her closet shelves to the top of her desktop setup.
A quote Briana will forever live by is “Live your life to the fullest,” because during COVID-19 she was stuck inside her apartment.
