Officer Byers has been solving problems at South Broward High School for 15 years. He loves the students and makes it his duty to help scholars in need.
“I enjoy the company of the younger generation,” Byers said.
His only concern is the thought of younger students not understanding the consequences of their actions.
“I want to help the kids with all of their problems and make sure they know how to do the right thing,” he said.
Outside of his job, Officer Byers has many hobbies and passions. He enjoys fishing, football, family, and grilling.
“I love having cookouts with my family and watching the game, y’know?” he said.
Byers’ goals are being very open-minded, listening to others, and considering all of the possibilities. He believes that everyone is going through something different and you should never judge.
“If I had to tell all of the students here anything I’d say: ‘Hard times don’t last forever’,” said Officer Byers.
