It’s turning out to be a mixed season for the boys and girls soccer team, with both teams having their ups and downs resulting in mixed records.

So far the girls team has a record of 1 win, 1 draw, and 2 losses. It was a rough start with a poor performance on the field that ended in a 0-2 loss to EHS. They came back with a dominating game against Coconut Creek with a score of 8-0 that left the team in high spirits. They then suffered an ironic loss of 0-8 to West Broward, which was followed by a disappointing 1-1 tie against Hallandale High that SBHS knew they could have won with a little overtime.

So far, the boys team also has a mixed record of 3 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss. A 1-1 tie kicked the season off against EHS that left everyone wishing for another 10 minutes on the field. They followed up with a towering 9-1 game against Coconut Creek. They kept this up with a 3-0 kicker against West Broward. Things have to slow down though, with back-to-back ties against Cardinal Gibbons then American Heritage. The next game had all SBHS boys soccer players questioning their performance  when they lost against St. Thomas Aquinas in a 0-3 defeat. They took it in strides though, and they crushed their next game against Boyd Anderson 7-0.

The next game for the boys is December 7th at home against Doral academy.

The next game for the girls is away December 9th against Miramar High.
