Julissa Gamero, 14, is a freshman at South Broward High School, who has lived her whole life in Hollywood, FL. In her opinion, Hollywood is more on the boring side.
“Hollywood is a very small kind of boring town, but good friends make it fun,” said Gamero.
As of right now, her favorite course is early child care. She finds this class entertaining because the teacher is very educated. She has also recently found a new passion for child care.
Within a five year span, Gamero expects to be in college studying to be a dermatologist. What draws her to being a dermatologist? Well, her mom, who plays a big role in her life, has a dream for her daughter to be in this profession. Gamero has a natural interest in dermatology, as well. She's pursuing something that her mom has an eye for because Gamero looks up to her mother for many reasons, such as her mom is extremely strong and her mother went through a lot at a young age.
Gamero recently she joined the SBHS track team. She joined track is because she has never been a part of a sports team in the past. She is also hoping to join the SBHS girls soccer team next year. At home she spends a lot of time with her two dogs and her friends. When Gamero spends time with her friends they like to hang out together at the beach often. Another hobby of Gamero is collecting sneakers.
“Honestly, I would say that I'm a bit of a sneakerhead,” said the freshman.
Sneakers recently caught her attention because her dad has a passion for collecting sneakers. Therefore, Gamreo was surrounded by her fathers hobby causing her to pick up on it as well.
