Kamoi Swann, a 15-year-old junior at South Broward High was born and raised in The Bahamas. She moved to Florida four years ago, which was a big change for her. This affected her daily life but, was not much of a major change for her. She spends most of her time with her three friends; Carlysia, Alana, and Guan.
"Success will be my biggest accomplishment in life," said Swann.
Swann loves cosmetology. When she is older, she aspires to open her own beauty salon. She also wants to major in the medical field. She loves dermatology, but wants to be an ultrasound tech. Her education is very important to her.
"It is my dream to attend HBCU and study Sonography," she said.
In Swann's free time, she loves baking, cooking, and practicing cosmetics. She enjoys traveling, preferably to Caribbean islands. Especially, Grand Bahama.
"The islands are a place to call home," said Swann.
