The 2022/2023 homecoming season has finally arrived. This momentous week, filled with a number of activities, will take place October 24th-28th.

Spirit week will kick off with themed days chosen by SGA through instagram polls. Monday is twin day, followed by Adam Sandler mixed with anything but a backpack day, superhero vs. villain day, decade day, and finally spirit day.

Although SBHS has taken inspiration from social media and other schools, this year’s hoco week is quite unique.

“A lot of these days are new,” said Mr. March, SGA sponsor. “There are three days that we’ve never done before.”

To add to the festivities, there will be activities, such as musical chairs, corn hole, and Just Dance during lunch. Additionally, SGA will be hosting daily dress-up contests. The “best dressed” students will earn gift cards.

On Thursday, October 27th, at 3:00 p.m. there will be a powderpuff game where the boys, dressed as cheerleaders, will support the junior and senior girls in an exciting game of flag football.

From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday night, a tailgate will take place at the baseball field. Snowcones, face paint, and snacks will be provided for students. Later that evening, our own SBHS Bulldogs will face off against the Hollywood Hills Spartans. Be sure to show school spirit by wearing SBHS colors.

To conclude the week, on Saturday night the homecoming dance will occur. Students will have the opportunity to sing, dance, and eat, for the price of $50.
