Anabella Hernandez, Photographer
Anabella Hernandez is a 17-year-old junior at South Broward High School who joined journalism a year ago to learn more about photography. Having really enjoyed the class, she decided to stay in it to learn and experience more.
“I have always been into photography since I was younger. I loved the idea of capturing someone's raw emotions in my photos. I was deeply inspired by a famous YouTuber who goes by the name Jordan Matter, but my biggest cheerleader and supporter was always my mother,” said Hernandez.
Her favorite song is “That Part” by Lauren Spencer Smith, which is a love song. She loves to listen to the song with her friends and family. She also likes to listen to music when she is doing her work because it allows her to focus better.
“I was first introduced to Lauren Spencer Smith by my younger sister, who also enjoys listening to her. What truly caught my attention about the artist was her word choice in many of her songs. I love to learn about words I have never heard before, even if I do not like to read, so hearing the unfamiliar words that I had never heard in her songs really fascinated me and still do,” said Hernandez.
Her hobbies include photographing, editing, sketching, and gaming with her friends. Hernandez uses an app called Lightroom to edit her photographs in her free time. She enjoys going on social media and looking at other photographers' work.
“I use Lightroom to edit my photos because, for me, it is much easier to work out the features than it is on Photoshop. I go on the media to look at different photographers’ work because it deeply inspires me to do my best as well as shows me what I am not only capable of doing but also how much I can inspire others with my photography,” said Hernandez.
