SBHS Boys’ Water Polo Team Comes Up Short at Forza Stefano Tournament

The boys’ team gathers for a group photo while holding up the SBHS Water Polo sign. The boys came up short in the Forza Stefano Tournament and placed 9th overall.

March 5th and 6th kicked off the 5th annual Forza Stefano Water Polo Tournament. The Tournament is held by the Forza Stefano Charitable Foundation created to honor Stefano Dioguardi’s love for water polo. Stefano Dioguardi attended Pembroke Pines Charter High School and played on the Boys’ Water Polo Team, but unfortunately passed away due to childhood cancer.

South Broward High School’s Boys’ Team placed 9th place overall in the tournament while the South Broward High School girls’ water polo Team placed 1st overall in the tournament. The Boys’ team played a total of three games in the tournament over the span of two days and the girls’ team played a total of five games, including the championship game against Fort Lauderdale High School.
